Trent Manor is a beautiful grade II listed house built in the 15th century and extended and altered over the 18th, 19th, 20th and 21st century. The gardens are romantic and well established with fish ponds, statues, topiary, bund, geometric design set into lawn, herbaceous borders and a covered well head that used to have a donkey walking in circles to draw water for the house. Edward Hohler and his family have lived at the manor for several generations and the garden has been sympathetically improved by Edward over the last couple of years. A haha has been introduced, many trees planted, a new rose garden, a boules court and new paths cut. Edward is a trained Garden Designer and was involved with new borders for Minterne House and all aspects of the garden designed for Parnham House. This is a small, private garden that is very rarely open to visitors.
